Recently, 16 adaptive bikes owned by the Non-Profit Foundation Ride2Recovery where stolen from their storage unit at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego. The bikes are specifically built for each individual and used for the therapeutic program which is run by Ride2Recovery for military veterans with post traumatic stress disorder.
America’s Wounded Warriors Vice President, Daryl Schamp, is seen here contributing a check to retired Marine Corps Sgt. Jamie Rihn who accepted the check on behalf of Ride2Recovery. “We at AWW felt terrible about the theft and the importance of this program which is so expertly run by Ride2Recovery and are happy to help in the efforts to replace the bicycles,” said Schamp.
